A vivid and compelling novel about a modern love triangle that asks some provocative questions: what happens when you tell the whole truth in marriage? Is it still infidelity if nobody lies? Can you really love two people at once?

"Love is never like this except in middle-aged female fantasies"

Loudon, the author of four nonfiction books, is a writer of elegance and high intelligence. Unfortunately, her characters come across as ludicrously self-important and solemn, and the general tone of My House is Falling Downreminded me of Elizabeth Smart’s classic poor-me novella, By Grand Central Station I Sat Down and Wept. If you liked that great effusion of self-pity, you will probably love this.
