For this is not just a story about aliens and outer space — even if it does have a corking explanation of gravity squeezed in — it’s about the importance of family and tolerating nonconformity within your own. A lesson we all need to drink in right now (just not, please God, in this first new week of home schooling, on Google Classroom). It’s a precept, in a bright, brainy book, that I’m sure the Starman himself (now, we can only presume, existing in the Cosmic Zone of Inclusion) would applaud.
