"The Arab Spring achieved more than we think, this thought‑provoking book insists"

After all the author’s valiant efforts to bring meaning and value to the Arab Spring, there is something almost poignant in the modest hopes with which he concludes his study. After the winter, he writes, there is always another spring. Irrespective of the collective meaning-making, that will be scant consolation to the millions of Arabs who remain under the jackboot.
