This is a fine book for anyone with a fondness for wide-open spaces and the keen eyesight for captions in tiny print. Written and beautifully illustrated by an “unknown adventurer” whose annotated sketchbooks were found in an abandoned hut (but “edited” by illustrator Teddy Keen) it is a guide to wild places and appreciating them.
It’s extremely detailed and in-depth book that you can lose hours in, with magnificent illustrations highlighting the exotic Amazon and the beauty and importance of the natural world.
A treasure of a book for any enthusiastic adventurer and lover of the great outdoors.
